Born in Perth, Dr Kiesey-Calding attended medical school at the University of Western Australia. She was accepted to the RANZCOG training programme as the first ranked candidate for Queensland. She completed 2 years of further study in the United Kingdom focusing on obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound and laparoscopic gynaecological surgery and obtained the RCOG (Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists) / RCR Diploma of Advanced Obstetric Ultrasound.
After returning to Australia Dr Kiesey-Calding worked as a staff specialist at Cairns Base Hospital prior to entering private practice in obstetrics and gynaecology in Cairns. She is a clinical lecturer at James Cook University, examines students in obstetrics and gynaecology, and was heavily involved in obtaining accreditation for the Cairns Obstetric and Gynaecological Department to offer an intern position for new graduates. She has become an instructor for ALSO (Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics) as well as being invited to instruct for MOET (Management of Obstetric Emergencies and Trauma).
Dr Kiesey-Calding has performed over 500 MonaLisa Touch treatments since adopting the treatment in her practice in 2015.
